There are loads of wind and rain warnings in place across the country

WIND AND RAIN warnings are in place for most of the country this morning.

In Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Sligo, a status orange rainfall warning will stay in place until 3pm. Around 60mm of rain is expected to fall.

In Dublin, Wexford, Wicklow, Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Waterford, a yellow wind warning, with gusts of around 90 km/h expected. That warning will stay in place until 8am.

In Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Meath, Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim and Roscommon, a yellow rainfall warning will be in place until 3pm as 35mm of rain is expected to fall.

Another yellow warning is in place in Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick and will stay in place until 12pm.

Met Eireann says today will continue mild, windy and cloudy with outbreaks of rain. The rain will become persistent or heavy in the west towards noon and will spread eastwards to all areas through the afternoon.
