Wrap up: this morning is going to be cold*

*But it will be slightly warmer later

IT WILL BE cold this morning, but the weather will clear up as the afternoon sets in.

Met Éireann is warning motorists that frost will be seen this morning as temperatures hover around freezing, as well as fog on many routes.

That fog will linger until the afternoon.

Otherwise it will be a dry bright day with “good sunshine”, the weather service says.

They add that after a cold start, temperatures will rise to between 5 and 7 degrees with light breezes.

Tonight will see frost and fog coupled with temperatures of between -2 and 2 degrees Celsius. There will be little change for tomorrow.
