Humid weekend ahead with showers and highs of 18 degrees

Heavy thundery downpours are likely this afternoon.

THE WEEKEND LOOKS set to be a mix of sunshine and showers in humid conditions.

It will start of dry and sunny this morning but heavy showers will gradually develop in the west and will slowly spread eastwards.

Some heavy thundery downpours are likely this afternoon with highs of up to 15 degrees.

Tomorrow and Sunday will also be a mix of sunshine and showers.

Sunday will start with some scattered outbreaks of rain in places before becoming dry for much of the country in the afternoon. It will be a warm humid day with highs of 18 degrees.

Monday looks set to start cloudy with scattered showers but becoming clear in the afternoon. Met Eireann says it will be humid during the day but becoming much fresher by the evening.
