There's a rainfall warning in place, but the weekend should be fine

The warning covers Galway, Mayo, Clare and Kerry.

A RAINFALL WARNING has been issued for Galway, Mayo, Clare and Kerry as a total of 35 millimeters is forecast to fall today.

The rest of the country will see outbreaks of rain, wind and cloud, but many places will stay dry during the day.

Much of the rain will fall in the west, which may also see thunder.

The rain will spread tonight to all areas.

This will clear by the morning as the weekend looks set to be calm. Met Eireann says that tomorrow will be mainly dry.

Sunday will also be dry, with some spells of sunshine.

Monday will be wet again, but that doesn’t matter because the weekend will be nice.
