Three rescued after yacht sinks off Wexford coast

No-one was injured in the incident.

THREE PEOPLE WERE rescued off the coast of Wexford yesterday after the yacht they were in started to sink.

The 37ft yacht was unable to be recovered and sank near the Saltee Islands, off Kilmore Quay.

The three people, two men and a woman who are believed to be from the UK, issued a distress call from the life raft at around 4.30pm.

The coastguard helicopter from Waterford reached them within a half an hour of the call.

The group was unharmed from the incident.
