Wonder who can see your Google Drive files? This will show you

Chances are there are a number of files you will have forgotten all about.

GOOGLE DRIVE HAS one of the more popular cloud services out there (by virtue of most people having access to one Google service or more), but every time you access or share a document, you’re giving permission to someone or allowing them access to certain information.

WhoHasAccess allows you to scan your Google Drive account and find out who has access to files in your account as well as what content is available to everyone.

Once you’ve your account scanned – usually takes a minute or two depending on how much you’ve stored – you will be given an overview of everyone who has access to your account.

Chances are you won’t find anything malicious, but considering how often Google Docs are used to share information, you may come across a few permissions you forgot about and would like to remove, or people you would like to revoke access from.

The annoying part is you can’t revoke access through the page, you have to do it through Google Drive, but that’s a small price to pay for knowing who has access to what.

And for those wondering, the makers behind the service delete all information they collect and remove their access permissions within 24 hours, although you can remove it yourself through your own account permissions if you want.
