Will Ferrell did a spot on impression of a drunk Irish dad on the Late Late last night

WILL FERRELL AND Mark Wahlberg were in Dublin earlier this week for the premiere of their film Daddy’s Home (and took selfies with about half the population).

They made time to record a spot for the Late Late Show on Tuesday, where they revealed that they had been out with a bunch of Irish dads the night before.

Yes, Will and Mark surprised a bunch of men who had won a competition by turning up at a Dublin pub – and many, many pints were had, by the sounds of things. Wahlberg told Ryan Tubridy:

They didn’t want to go to the movie, they just wanted to get pissed! They were like: “We can see it when it comes out, we can buy a proper ticket.”

Ferrell waxed poetic about a particular dad, who was “rendered incomprehensible” by drink:

It is, as Ryan Tubridy put it, a spot on impression of a dad “six pints in”.

The guy beside him said, “I don’t understand a word he said either.” He talked to us for about five minutes.
Mark and I just kept smiling and nodding, “Yes. Uh huh.”

Dad? Is that you?
