This year’s Games will officially kick off on Friday.

THE 33rd SUMMER Olympic Games are getting underway this week, with a record 133 athletes headed to Paris to represent Ireland across 14 different sports.

While the opening ceremony will be held on Friday, some of the sporting action will begin today, starting with football and rugby sevens matches.

Millions of visitors are expected in Paris throughout the two week event, and it’s expected over 1 billion people will tune in to watch the opening ceremony worldwide.

So today we want to know: Will you watch the Paris Olympics?
