86-year-old William Doherty found safe and well

The man went missing from his home in Derry yesterday but has now been found.

POLICE IN NORTHERN Ireland have said a man reported missing yesterday has been found.

86-year-old William Doherty had been missing since yesterday afternoon and his family were concerned for his safety as he requires medication that he does not have with him.

Gardaí had been asked to share the appeal because it was possible he may have crossed the border.

This morning, the PSNI said the elderly man has been found safe and well.
