Winning Streak figures jump 30,000 for appearance of Edward Hutch

Hutch won €8,000 in cash and a car worth €25,000 on the RTÉ show.

AN EXTRA 30,000 viewers tuned into Winning Streak last week to see well-known criminal Edward Hutch appear on the show.

Edward Hutch who has 189 previous convictions is the nephew of former crime boss Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch.

Another nephew of The Monk, Gary Hutch, was shot dead at a holiday resort on Spain’s Costa Del Sol on Thursday.

An RTÉ spokesperson told TheJournal.ie that, “Last week’s episode of Winning Streak attracted 327,700 viewers.  The average viewership for the series is 297,000.

“This is based on the average viewership for the last full season which was the summer season just gone.”

Edward’s brother Ross appeared on Winning Streak in place of his brother, who supported him from the audience.
