Woman (70s) dies in three-car collision in Co Tyrone

Casualties from the two other involved vehicles sustained non-life threatening injuries.

A WOMAN HAS died following a road traffic collision in Castlederg, Co Tyrone.

The three-vehicle crash happened at around 2pm today in the Strabane Road area between Listymore Road and Dunrevan Road.

Northern Ireland’s emergency services attended the scene, before Patricia McGarvey, 75, was taken to hospital by air ambulance.

She later passed away.

The PSNI said the collision involved a blue Audi A3, silver MG HS Excite and red Vauxhall Corsa.

“Casualties from the two other involved vehicles sustained non-life threatening injuries,” a spokesperson said in a statement.

“A full investigation into the circumstances surrounding what occurred is ongoing.

“The Collision Investigation Unit at Sprucefield would appeal to anyone with information or who may have dash-cam or phone footage to contact them via 101, quoting reference number 780 12/06/24.”
