Woman and six children involved in Dublin road crash

Two of the children are being treated for minor injuries following a crash on the Strand Road which is partly closed.

A WOMAN AND six children were involved in a single car crash on the Strand Road in Dublin this afternoon with two of the children hospitalised however their injuries are not life threatening.

The incident happened at around 1.20pm this afternoon. The woman and the six children were all removed from the car and sustained minor injuries.

Two of the children are being examined at Temple Street hospital but their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The road is closed between Malahide and Portmarnock and traffic diversions are in place.

Gardaí say the road will be closed for the foreseeable future as technical examinations are carried out to determine the cause of the crash.
