50-year-old woman arrested after cocaine found in car by gardaí on uniform patrol

The kilo of cocaine is believed to be worth around €70,000.

A WOMAN HAS been arrested after cocaine worth around €70,000 was found by gardaí on uniform patrol.

Officers stopped the car on the M6 Killbeggan, Co Westmeath at around 2:30 this afternoon.

During the course of the search one kilo of cocaine was discovered.

The 50-year-old female driver was in the car alone, she has been arrested and taken to Mullingar Garda station.
