Woman arrested after young woman attacked in Limerick

Gardaí have now launched an investigation.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED a woman in her 20s after a young woman was seriously assaulted in Limerick overnight.

The woman who was attacked – who is also in her 20s- was taken to University Hospital Limerick with head injuries.

It happened on Parnell street in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí are investigating the assault. The woman arrested can be held for up to 24 hours of questioning.
