Woman injured in weekend crash dies in Cork hospital

The 26-year-old woman sustained serious injuries when the car she was driving collided with a 4×4. She died in hospital this morning.

A 26-YEAR-OLD WOMAN who was seriously injured in a crash in Cork at the weekend has died in hospital this morning.

The woman was hurt when the car she was driving collided with a 4×4 at around 5pm on Saturday evening.  The accident happened  at Cow Cross in Cobh.

She was brought to Cork University Hospital but died as a result of her injuries earlier today.

Gardaí carried out a forensic examination of the scene and have asked anyone with any information about the crash to contact Cobh Garda Station on 021 4908530.
