Woman in her mid-20s dies after truck collides with car in Tipperary

Two other women have been taken to hospital.

A WOMAN IN her mid-20s has died after a truck collided with a car in Co Tipperary.

Gardaí are at the scene of the incident, which occurred at around 12.25pm on the M8 northbound between junctions nine and 10 at Dogstown.

Three women were in the car at the time of the collision. One of the women was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other two women, aged in their early 50s and mid-50s, have been brought to University Hospital Limerick and South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel.

The driver of the truck was uninjured.

The M8 northbound between junctions nine and 10 is currently restricted to one lane.
