Woman dies from ‘serious injuries’ sustained in assault earlier this month

Two other women were also injured.

A WOMAN WHO was assaulted in Dundalk, Co Louth, earlier this month has died in Dublin hospital.

Gardaí were alerted to an incident at a residential property in Glenwood Estate early in the afternoon of 3 May.

A man was arrested at the scene and has since appeared in court.

Three women were injured, two of whom were removed to Louth County Hospital in Dundalk for treatment.

Another was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda with what gardaí described as “serious injuries”.

Investigations are ongoing.
