Woman dies in Louth crash

A 25-year-old woman was fatally injured when her car left the road at Dunmahon, Dundalk, late last night.

A WOMAN HAS died following a single vehicle crash in Co Louth late last night.

The 25-year-old was fatally injured when her car left the road at Dunmahon, Dundalk, and crashed in a field sometime before 11pm. The woman, who was alone in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place today.

The road at the scene of the crash is now closed to facilitate an examination of the area by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí are asking anyone who was in the area between 9pm and 11pm on the 3rd October to contact them at Dundalk Garda Station on 042 9388400.
