Woman due in court after Limerick drug seizure

Gardaí discovered herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of up to €160,000 in the Raheen area of Limerick yesterday morning.

A WOMAN IN HER 20s is due in court this morning in connection with the garda seizure of herbal cannabis yesterday.

Early yesterday morning, gardaí carried out a search at a house in Raheen, Limerick and discovered cannabis herb with an estimated street value of up to €160,000.

A woman was arrested at the scene and held at Roxboro Road Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

She is due to appear before Limerick District Court at 10.30am to face charges over the seizure.
