A US MOTHER of three has become an internet sensation after giving an animated account of escaping a fire to a news channel.
The clip of Michelle Dobyne, which was aired on News On 6, has been viewed millions of times and received a huge reaction.
Locals have also been collecting donations and clothes for the mother.
Describing how she found out about the fire, Michelle Dobyne said:
“My friend came to the door, I was on the phone cooking me and my baby some breakfast and she said ‘Something is wrong, it’s popping’.
I said ‘What?’ and she said ‘Yeah’ and I said ‘Naww’.
“So the girl came downstairs, she came out of her apartment with no shoes on and I said: ‘Girl it’s cold outside.’ She said something ain’t right; I said ‘Aw man’ and she said ‘Aw man, the building is on fire.’
I said ‘Nah, what?’ I got my three kids and we bounced out. Nuh-uh, we ain’t gonna be in no fire. Not today.
It’s understood that Dobyne has been sleeping in her car since the fire broke out. A Go Fund Me page has since been set up for Michelle.

Embarrassed to say the least. The first African emigrant to become a judge in America get no air time but this sort or rubbish becomes an Internet sensation with the media like the journal pushing it as some sort of circus act. I weep for the humanity.

It’s 2016 Paul Furey, the time for making jokes and looking like uneducated caricatures should be a thing of the past. Of course there will be some but they are not the majority. I hate that they get air time just to make people smile when there are so many doing and achieving such great accomplishments but they don’t even get no mention by the media.

Because I’m sick of seeing these things make the news Trevor Heff. Anytime the journal and the media post anything to do with black people it’s usually to do with riots, racism or just plain circus acts like this woman. I have nothing against this woman and I can see the amusement but they never post any achievements of the African dispora. Its always jokes or issues to do with racism. In all honesty im sick of seeing black people being viewed as jokes when there is more to us than this.
You would be moaning too if all you see in the international news is your people drinking, having pub brawls and just acting like plain gobsh!ts at the expense of high achieving, history making irish. Sure you were all moaning when Sky News had the audacity to claim high achieving irish as English. So please cease being a hypocrite and stop complaining about my complaint.

So let me get this correct: the Irish are allowed to moan about Sky news claiming successful irish as their own and also complain about the negative irish stereotypes being displayed in the media abroad but if a black person brings up same issue of negative black stereotypes that person playing the “race card”. How delightful!
