Woman (21) injured in shooting incident in Cork

Two people have been arrested.

A WOMAN IS recovering in hospital after being injured in a shooting incident in Cork city.

The 21-year-old was taken to Cork University Hospital in the early hours of this morning. Her injuries are not life-threatening.

Gardaí said they were called to the scene on Blarney Road just after 1am today.

A man (29) and a woman (22) were arrested.

He is being detained at Gurranabraher garda station, while she is at Bridewell garda station.
