Woman in her 20s killed in three vehicle crash in Co Wexford

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.

A WOMAN HAS been killed in a three-vehicle collision in Co Wexford.

Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of the crash that occurred at around 6:30 this morning on the N25 at Barntown and involved a truck, a van and a car. 

The female driver of the car, aged in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Her body has been taken to University Hospital Waterford for a post mortem examination.

The male driver of the van, aged in his 40’s, was taken to Wexford General Hospital for treatment for injuries that are believed to be non-life-threatening.

The scene is currently being preserved for technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators and the road is currently closed, with local diversions in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time of the incident have been asked to make footage available to investigating Gardaí.
