Woman killed after being hit by car in Dublin this afternoon

She was removed to the Mater Hospital, where she later passed away.

A WOMAN HAS died after being hit by a car in Dublin this afternoon.

The pedestrian in her early 70s was struck by a car at the junction of Howth Road and Collins Avenue in Clontarf.

It happened at around 12:30pm.

She was removed to the Mater Hospital, where she later passed away.

The road was closed, and Garda Forensic Collision investigators have carried out an examination.

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them at Raheny Garda Station on 01 6664300.
