Elderly woman killed in Meath house fire

It happened at a house in Enfield at around 1.45 this afternoon.

A WOMAN HAS died following a house fire in Meath this afternoon.

It happened in Enfield at around 1.45 pm.

The woman was aged in her 90s. In a statement gardaí said, “A female in her 90s was pronounced dead after a fire broke out in the house at approximately 1.45pm.”

The body of the woman has been taken to Naas General Hospital for a post mortem.

Gardaí say they are not treating the fire as suspicious.
