Woman killed in Tipperary crash

Seventy-year-old woman died after her car was involved in a crash yesterday morning.

A 70-YEAR-OLD WOMAN has died after the car she was driving collided with another vehicle on the R661 at Holycross, Co Tipperary, yesterday  morning.

The crash occurred at around 11am yesterday and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

She was the sole occupant of that car and two people travelling in the other car were not injured.

The road is closed this morning to facilitate a garda technical examination of the scene and local diversions are in place.
