Woman killed in Tipperary crash

Car collided with a tractor on the Clonmel to Ardfinnan Road just after noon today.

A WOMAN IN HER 40S has died after the car she was driving collided with a tractor on the Clonmel to Ardfinnan Road this afternoon.

The crash occurred at Knocklofty at around 12.30pm today.

Gardaí say the woman was the sole occupant of the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the tractor was not injured.

The road is currently closed from Knocklofty Bridge to Fingerpost for a forensic examination and diversions are in place.
