Female pedestrian 'seriously injured' after Donegal collision

Gardaí are seeking witnesses to the accident at Coneyburrow Road, Lifford, yesterday evening.

A WOMAN in her 40s has been seriously injured after she was struck by a car while walking in Co Donegal last night.

The woman was struck by a car on the N15 (Coneyburrow Road), just outside Lifford, and close to Donegal’s border with Northern Ireland.

The incident occurred at about 7:15pm last night.

The woman was taken by ambulance to Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry, where she remains this morning.

The occupants of the car were not injured.

The N15 remains closed pending a technical examination, and local traffic diversions are in place.
