Woman's body found in toilets at retail store

The body was found in a Dunnes Stores on Patrick St in Cork city.

THE BODY OF a woman has been found at a large retail store in Cork’s city centre.

The woman, who is believed to be in her mid-60s, was found in the toilets on the second floor of the shop.

It is understood to be a Dunnes Stores on Patrick St.

The woman was found shortly after 7am this morning. Her body was taken to Cork University Hospital.

Gardaí said that they believe there was “nothing untoward” about the woman’s death, but a post-mortem is yet to take place.
