Fired X Factor judges break their silence on those "disgusting" comments

The judges were fired for their comments to a contestant.

SACKED X FACTOR New Zealand judges Willy Moon and Natalia Kills, who were fired over a tirade of negative comments towards a contestant, have broken their silence.

The married couple took to Twitter to finally have their say on the controversy.

The pair were fired from X Factor NZ after Kills told contestant Joe Irvine that he had copied her husband Willy Moon’s look, branding him “disgusting”.

Moon, meanwhile, suggested that Irvine looked “a bit creepy”.

The pair fled to LA after the outcry over their comments, and subsequent firing.

Relieved

Now they have commented on their sacking, with Kills saying she was “relieved” to finally break the silence.

She said that “a lot goes on behind-the-scenes of a reality show and what you see isn’t always the whole story”.

She added that she was “encouraged to be outspoken and things got out of hand”, and went on to ask for Joe Irvine’s forgiveness.

Kills said on Instagram: “Once again Joe Irvine, I apologise for the madness and I wish you success and happiness in the competition.”

Her husband’s tweet captured the same sentiment:

Billboard reports that Kills and Moon will be replaced on X Factor NZ by Natalie Bassingthwaighte (an Australian singer) and drummer Shelton Woolright.
