Young Irish man dies in Mallorca

Daniel Kenny, 24, died from injuries after a suspected accident in Santa Ponsa.

A YOUNG IRISH man has died while on a trip to the Spanish island of Mallorca.

Daniel Kenny, 24, died from injuries sustained in an incident in the resort town of Santa Ponsa yesterday.

Mr Kenny was from Athlone, Co Westmeath.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that it is providing consular assistance to Mr Kenny’s family.

According to the Irish Times, it is suspected he may have fallen from a balcony.

Mallorca, located in the Balearics near Ibiza and Minorca, is a popular destination with holidaymakers from around Europe.
