Young man dies in single-vehicle crash in Co Kildare

The incident occurred at 10.30pm last night.

A YOUNG MAN has died in a single-vehicle crash in Co Kildare. 

The incident occurred on the Clane Road (R403) in Celbridge at around 10.30pm last night. 

The driver and sole occupant of the care, aged in his late teens, was fatally injured. The local coroner has been notified and arrangements will be made for a post-mortem examination.

The road remains closed this morning to allow for an examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
