Age Action is on a mission to reunite two photo albums crammed with photos with their owners, if they are still out there.
Charity staff found the two albums in amongst a pile of clothes received into the Camden St branch, and don’t want to discard what could be treasured family mementoes.
Eamon Timmins of Age Action told TheJournal.ie that one of the albums has a leather cover and contains photos from the late 1920s and early 1930s, while the second is more modern and contains photos mainly from the 1970s and 1980s. Many of the photos in the latter album were taken in the USA.
“These are memories”, he said of the photos. “They are some family’s memories. We couldn’t with any conscience throw these albums out.”
While Age Action does receive a large volume of items from homes, such a find is an unusual one.

You’re right Anthony. Comments about a British mp are not allowed even though that’s in a different jurisdiction. Wouldn’t it be great if someone who likes suing was challenged to trial by combat.

Why is that we’re aloud to comment on certain articles related to let’s say that “VIP person” but comments closed on others? And you always know their was stories about him in the journal as the comment section is closed on the “here’s what happened today” pieces as there’d be be posts galore about him and the journal haha

Comments section was open on “Here’s what happened today” because I posted a jokey comment on you know who and when I went back later to read some more it had been closed.

I noticed that he has retained the right to use a champion if his request is granted. I mean he doesn’t really look like the sort of guy that would be too handy with a sword or an axe.

Since it’s actually connected to an old American law, either a dual with swords or pistols would be the method legally allowed I would assume.
Mind you, I’d say that even an old smoothbore pistol wouldn’t struggle hitting someone of that girth.
