District Court Judge charged with deception

The charges relate to before the judge was appointed to the bench.

A DISTRICT COURT judge appeared before the District Court herself today, charged with two counts of deception.

RTE reports that Heather Perrin, 60, from Lambay Court in Malahide, Dublin, faced charges relating to an incident that occurred before she was appointed to the bench.

At that time, she was a solicitor.

RTE states that she is charged with inducing Thomas and Ava Davis to bequeath half their estate to Sybil and Adam Perrin.

Sybil and Adam Perrin are Judge Perrin’s children.

If she did something that underhand as a solicitor, she should never have been allowed to become a Judge. She should be struck off!
Why is it that the higher someone’s position in society, the longer they get away with it. Judges, Bankers, Politicians, Priests, the list goes on…..
However the ordinary street criminal can be up at a special sitting of the district court the morning after an offence.

She should be struck off just like all those solicitors who were overcharging and double charging for their representation of institutional abuse victims after their full fees had been settled by the tribunal a few years ago

I think it’s a fair assumption that this investigation only began after she was appointed a Judge.

Why does it matter that this happened before she became a judge. You are either ethical or you aren’t

Any of you consider that maybe the testator & testatrix actually wished to leave the gift to the solicitors children?! Nothing illegal about that if it was their wish. The solicitor was foolish not to refer her clients to another solicitor instead however. Sounds like a disgruntled beneficiary has it in for the judge. It’s easy make an allegation…let’s see it being proved

The bequest should also be voided, and transferred to the elderly couple’s rightful heirs. Disgraceful!

Think it goes bit deeper than that…what she did (alledgedly) was outright criminality. Fraud of a very deliberate and definitive kind. Striking her off is not the issue here… prison is. That is why she was arrested formally. And the will, will obviously be illegitimate legally as she will be proven to have misled her client (alledgedly).

    Frightening stuff.

A dodgy unethical brief I’m truly shocked….. Not. Anyone who can defend a rapist terrorist or murderer knowing their guilty as sin and then gets them off is nothing but an educated thug..
