Fast food worker shaken after being 'threatened with gun'

The incident took place at 11.20pm yesterday.

POLICE IN NORTHERN Ireland are appealing for information after a fast food delivery worker was carjacked.

The incident happened  in the Arran Street area of East Belfast last night.

A man, aged in his 20s, was making a fast food delivery when two men approached him at about 11.20pm.

One of the men said he was carrying a gun and threatened the driver with it. The second man jumped into the car and drove it a short distance along the road before getting out.

The two then made off on foot.

The PSNI said the driver was not injured but has been “left shaken by his ordeal”.

One of the suspects is described as being aged in his 20s, approximately 5’8” tall, of thin build and with “dirty fair hair”. He was wearing a green top and brown trousers.

The second male is described as being approximately 5’6” tall. He was wearing a grey-coloured hooded top.

Detective Inspector Michelle Griffin has appealed for anyone with any information about this incident to contact Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information anonymously, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Classic SF. Peace and reconciliation only as long as *our* killers are closing victims allowances.

@Brynþór Patrekursson: This could all have been brought under the umbrella of a peace and reconciliation commission 20 years ago as Sinn Féin wanted. It was blocked by both governments. I wonder why?

@Jacks R. Back: That was then and this is now. If the money should be paid out to victims, then pay it out and argue for additional people to be included concurrently.
