FOX NEWS HAS been named the “most trusted” national news channel in America.
According to a recent survey, 29% of people say they trust Fox the most, with CNN the second most trusted station (22%).
Quinnipiac University questioned 1,286 adults on the subject last week - 32% identified as Republican, 29% as Democrat 29, 28% as ‘Independent’, and 11% as ‘Other’.
The next most trusted stations were CBS News and NBC News (on 10% each), followed by ABC News on 8% and MSNBC on 7%.
FOX News is definitely the Republican choice as 58% of GOP voters say they trust the station the most, while 13% turn to CNN, with 7% each for NBC and CBS, 5% for ABC, and 2% for MSNBC.
Only 3% of Democrats trust FOX the most, with 32% preferring CNN, 15% choosing NBC, 14% each for CBS and MSNBC and 8% for ABC.
Following recent accusations about his war zone reporting, including in Northern Ireland, 12% of those surveyed think FOX’s Bill O’Reilly should be fired, while 11% of people think he should be suspended, 23% say he should stay and 51% haven’t heard enough about this to form an opinion.

Participants in the survey were also asked about who they think should replace Jon Stewart on the Daily Show later this year.
Tina Fey was the top choice to replace Jon Stewart (19%), followed by fellow Saturday Night Live alumni Dennis Miller (16%), then John Oliver (8%), Brian Williams and Craig Ferguson (7% each) and Chelsea Handler (5%).

I had heard Fox News Corp was actually registered as not as a news network but an entertainment channel so this is strange, beyond that its clearly a far far right crackpot propaganda machine. Funnily I was actually watching about 20 minutes of it last night for the first time in months and eventually ended up having to change the channel due to disgust and rage listening to that sanctimonious lying, most likely insane, zionist shill Sean Hannity non stop pushing the narrative of Iran being such a threat to Israel and how soon it will have “the bomb” and the missiles to deliver it and it needs to stop calling for the annihilation of the Jewish people everywhere while showing random select footage of missiles being transported on trucks, some old stock nuclear facilities footage and while the actual quote “the zionist regime” shown on screen which he translates and reads as the “the Jewish people”. How he and his like are able to be so utterly immoral and actually ok with pushing such warped realities and ideas amazes me and believe he and Fox are responsible for much of the ideology of the US public.

It’s such a shame. That poisoneous station has really done tremendous damage to the US and because the US is so powerful that damage has been done to us all.
I blame poor educational standards and substance abuse combined with a poor diet.

I think there might be a logical reason for this.
Fox is seen as a largely republican right wing broadcaster while CNN NBC ABC MSNBC are all veering to the left at different levels so each would get a different number of lefties voting for them where as righties have really only fox so they get all the republican left vote.

It probably is the most trustworthy “official” one compared to the rest. And isn’t that just sad? Comedy shows have more trustworthy news that the official networks…
As a top line, it sounds shocking but it does make sense.
The American news media consuming public are basically divided into the two camps – the 71% who want *real* news, and the 29% who want propaganda to reinforce their own prejudices, and who believe absolutely everyone else in the media is part of a huge conspiracy against them.
That 71% is the market for which *all other media outlets* compete. Fox has no competitor in *its* market. So it makes sense that any individual real news station has a smaller slice of the pie than Fox, even if it’s regrettable over a quarter of people obviously don’t care to know what’s *really* going in the world.
I haven’t even read 5he article. The headline says it all.
