Pensioner beaten up in her home

The woman in her 80s was reportedly attacked by two youths after they gained entry to her house in Belfast.

AN ELDERLY WOMAN has been seriously assaulted by two youths after they gained entry to her home last night.

The victim, who is in her 80s, was hospitalised after the attack in her Belfast home, which left her with cuts and bruising. She was also severely shaken, according to the PSNI.

Two young people are reported to have entered the home on Agnes Street in the north of the city last night before physically assaulting the woman, who called police at around 8pm. It is not currently clear whether anything was stolen in the incident.

The PSNI have appealed for witnesses, or anybody who saw two young people acting suspiciously in the area, to contact them.

Haven’t the Council little to do. It would be far better for the Council to keep the streets clean and trim their overgrown trees than worrying about a few cups of coffe being sold in a shop. Anything but do the hard work.
