THE LIVE-ACTION REMAKE of famed fairytale Snow White has hit cinemas – but it hasn’t received the best reception.
The film has been mired in controversy since before production begun. Rachel Zegler (Snow White) has been the subject of backlash for calling the original film “dated” and saying that the prince had “literally stalked Snow White”. Some people were annoyed that a Latina actress had been cast in the role, taking to social media to express their ire.
Peter Dinklage accused the filmmakers of being “backwards” in retelling the story in which there are “seven dwarfs living in a cave together” and the two leads, Zegler and Gal Gadot (the Evil Queen), have endured an awkward and frosty press tour as a result of their completely countering views on Gaza.
Outside of that, the new film rendition of the fairytale hasn’t exactly received the best reviews either…

In the original story, the Queen orders the huntsman to bring Snow White’s lungs and liver…. not her heart.

Poor Rachel Ziegler put in a performance that turned out to be one of the few redeeming qualities about what might go down as the worst remake ever made. Pity she had to girlboss too close to the sun on the promo tour :D
Gal Gadot can’t act or sing to save her life.

@Darth O’Leary: his take is funny and so true…only critic id believe to go to the cinema if he mentioned it…hollywood needs to have a good hard look in the mirror the decline in movies is massive compared to the 90’s and before hand…there is jems here and there but the quality in movies is in fast decline and he hits the nail on the head all the time
@Darth O’Leary: I used to like the Drinker but started to get a whiff of an agenda from him. Every “review” injecting gender politics. Then I did a bit of research/digging and found some very interesting critiques of The Drinker. One video in particular goes step by step through the outright lies and contradictions the Drinker tells all the time to pander to his audience and suit his own narrative. It’s disappointing and kinda pathetic. Just another online grifter.

8 out of ten. Not bad. Actually, in the original tale, it’s Snow White’s mother who is jealous of her and asks the huntsman to kill her and bring her Snow White’s lungs and liver so that she may eat them. In Hansel and Gretal it was also the mother who wants her husband to kill the children. The tales were changed to have a stepmother do the evil deed because we’ll, mothers don’t kill theor children, who they?
There wasn’t a genocidal maniac in the first one.
The live-action adaptation completely shits on Disney’s legacy of the film that made them into who they were…
