God when I was young (only in my 40s) if someone was killed it was on the news for weeks , now every day it’s happening, it’s so sad.

Bit of an exaggeration don’t you think ,although the good weather seems to have an odd effect on some of the thugs that roam the streets.

I believe you, Tommy. Even if it falls to one murder a year, that murder will still pack an emotional punch. It’s tragic.

Raglan I thought you were supposed to be a Dub? all that Florida sunshine gettin’ to your head then? Drimnagh has lovely people and lovely neat neighborhoods, this type of senseless violence can and does happen all across Dublin and up and down the country, it’s becoming all too common now and it’s actually messed up, but don’t just pick on one area, you do the good people no justice by that.

And so has Ballybough and East Wall got lovely neat neighborhoods and down to earth people. But I never said that Crumlin and Drimnagh should be fenced off from the rest of the city. And if the Florida sunshine hasn’t got to my head after 3 years its very unlikely to get there now. Ill be back home next May and have a few pints with family members in the Ballybough House and the Halfway House and maybe a few pubs in between. :) :)

Alan it’s not from the papers or TV that I get or got my info. I lived in Crumlin for nearly 30 yrs and my family and relatives still living there. I’ve also lived around the East Wall area for over 10 yrs and also have family living there so I know both areas fairly well.

RIP to whoever lost their life. So sad.!!! Its a shame there are people on here using this as an excuse to put the area down. I lived in this complex for 6 years and there were lovely decent people living there. Right, the area may have some undesireables but so to has every area. It’s not where you live, its how you live. These were not teenage thugs but middle age men. Again RIP and condolences to his family.
