TWO MEN REMAIN in hospital in Galway after a stabbing incident on Inis Mór island earlier today.
At 1pm today emergency services were called to the incident in the Manister area of Inis Mór. One man in his 40s was in critical condition and another man aged 67 years also sustained minor injuries in what is understood to have been an altercation between the two men.
Both were airlifted to University Hospital Galway and a garda spokesperson said the man in his 40s has improved and is now “in stable condition”.
The incident is being investigated as an ‘assault causing harm’. No arrests have been made at this point but gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
