RIP fellow biker. Deepest condolences to his family and friends, not a nice time of the year to be losing anyone. The road conditions over the last few days have been bad, take care out there !

It’s obviously 188 people too many, but isn’t that figure way down on other years?

You’re not wrong. Road deaths have gone down enormously over the years. Check out the figures on this list. We’ve come a long way from 1978′s all-time high of 628 deaths in one year.

I wonder what the decrease is attributable to. I notice that the sharp drop coincides with the roll out of the motorway network so perhaps this is the primary reason.

An add for a car underneath an article about a traffic accident. I know they’re automated and etc but there must be something you can do.
