Pretty much the same as now with the current government increasing public spending on the back of corporation taxes. @The next small thing: it would be naive to think that those that have been in Gov for over 100 yrs, who have caused and worsened issues like housing and health, who have been promising to fix for almost a decade, as it continues to get worse, will suddenly now start to care and even attempt to fix the problems.
Maybe for a change stop trying to come up with hypothesis of what may or may not happen if a party never in power got into power and examine the history and facts of what those in power have done. History does repeat itself, especially when no action taken from learned lessons.

@Brian: You are correct that IPA’s are not counted in homeless figures, however, once they are given leave to remain they get the same access to both social housing supports and are included in the homeless numbers. Yes we have had a homeless crisis for the last decade and yet people think adding more unskilled people into the mix (who won’t be able to fund their own accommodation regardless if they are working or not) will not make the sitution worse.
