TWO PEOPLE APPEARED in court this afternoon, charged in relation with fraudulent welfare claims.
The man in his 30s and woman in her 40s were were released on bail to re-appear next week at the Dublin District Court.

Earlier today, detectives from the Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation and inspectors from the Department of Social Protection searched a number of houses in the north and west Dublin areas, as part of an ongoing investigation into fraudulent welfare claims. During the searches a large number of documents were seized and five people were arrested
A 19-year-old man, is due to appear at Blanchardstown District Court at 10.30 am on 15 July, and two others - a man in his 20s and a woman in her 40s – have been released without charge.
A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
