Highs of 26 degrees today but risk of spot flooding tomorrow

Get outside now.

TODAY WILL BE another warm and sunny day with highs of 26 degrees.

Met Éireann says that while it will start mostly dry, there is a chance of thundery showers in some places this evening.

“Cloud will start to build from the south and southwest with the risk of thundery showers later in the evening pushing up from the south.”

Tonight will be warm and humid with heavy thundery showers spreading northwards.

Tomorrow will still be hot with highs of 22 degrees but showery rain will turn heavy and thundery downpours may lead to spot flooding.

The rain is set to clear during the afternoon, becoming dry overnight.

Thursday looks set to start with scattered showers that will merge into longer spells of rain.
