It's going to be a dull and rainy day... but sunny spells are expected tomorrow

A Status Yellow rain warning is in place for ten counties until 2pm.

IT’S GOING TO be a cloudy, rainy day today with some light to moderate winds, but some sunny spells are expected to peek through tomorrow.

A Status Yellow rain warning remains in place for ten counties this morning, with Met Éireann advising that heavy rain and a few thundery downpours could result in spot flooding in some areas.

The warning is in place for counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Waterford, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Clare, Tipperary and Galway until 2pm this afternoon.

It will be mostly cloudy today with outbreaks of rain that may turn heavy at times. Light to moderate north to northwest winds also expected.

Temperatures will reach highs of between 9 to 13 degrees over the eastern half of the country, but only 6 to 8 degrees further west.

There will be further outbreaks of rain early tonight, mainly over Ulster and Leinster. Drier and clearer conditions in the west will spread to most areas as the rain becomes lighter and patchier before clearing southwards overnight.

Some showers will move in to parts of the east coast, with cloudier conditions persisting there too. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees.

Sunday will see patchy rain and drizzle at first, but this will give way to some drier, brighter weather from the west and with sunny spells developing.

The forecaster said that the east of the country will stay mostly cloudy with moderate to fresh northerly winds for much of the day, with highs of 8 to 11 degrees.

It’s expected to remain mainly dry on Monday, with sunny spells and light northerly breezes. There will be some light rain and drizzle in the evening, which will move in from the northwest and spread over much of the country by morning.

Great. Takes about 2hrs+ to make.
Nobody’s doubting that it would taste great but the majority of take away pizzas are ordered for convenience, not taste

@@aidoroch: no it just has to be prepared min 2 hrs in advance, big difference, if you just have dough in the fridge that you work away at it can be very convenient. Obviously it’s not going to be as simple as buying frozen or ordering in, comparing the two is just dumb. People cook because it’s substantially better value and they enjoy it.

Bake the pizza on a treated stone base or tile. Reduce the temperature to 210 and voila!

Love homemade pizza and doing your own dough is great and all that, but it’s not worth the work. Source good pre made bases. Mix fresh garlic and basil into the sauce and everything else above is pretty spot on.
